Wonderful, vintage Herbert Bequet hand painting vase. I believe this is floral centrepiece bowl.
The front of the bowl has an amazing hand painted village scene with a church & thatched roof home.
There is gold detail framing the scene.
Bequet started making ceramic pieces in the late 1920s and opened his own factory in 1934 at Quaregnon. It closed in 1982 but had its heyday in the 1960s. He is best known for his colorful, high-quality ceramic pieces with gold rims and elaborate decoration.
Measures approximately 6.5” dia x 5” high
Condition is good, one small chip on the bowl vase rim.
