Small Vintage Signed TW Navajo Horsehair Pottery Native American Handcrafted Pot

This beautiful vintage Navajo horsehair pot is a unique combination of bright pastel rainbow colors, intricate hand carved designs and the signature carbon lacework of the integrated horsehair. Combining the process of horsehair and the craftsman artwork creates a unique pottery work. Horse hair from the mane is thrown onto the pottery while it is still very hot during the firing process. The hair burns when it touches the hot pottery, leaving a carbon stain cooked into the pottery. This makes each piece one-of-a-kind with its own unique, beautiful pattern. The Whirlwind pattern shows a journey, and gives inner peace, healing, and energy. Yucca is used for herbal cleansing.
