RARE Nigeria Tutu Phantom Amethyst Spray Violet Dark Purple Crystal Cluster Gem

Exquisite color! High quality and rare specimen of fully natural Tutu amethyst from the Tutu Cliffs of Mambilla Plateau in Taraba State, Nigeria. Part of a limited 2018 find, this beautifully colored Nigerian quartz var. Amethyst features a fan shaped spray of double terminated crystals in a sculptural, floral shaped formation. Making this piece extra special and rare is the deep, jewel tone, vibrant violet purple coloring and phantoms. The Amethyst are saturated in dark royal purple violet. The piece looks stunning when backlit, showing off the vivid shades and phantoms of purple, blue violet, blurple, fuchsia pink. The elestial / candle growth habit has smaller terminated points growing around the base of the largest DT crystals. A unique specimen from an uncommon and difficult to mine locale in West Africa. Measures approx 2.5 inches long by 1.5 inch diameter at the widest point of the cluster.
