The Schoeps VA3 Cello Mount for CCM4V or MK4V with Active Cable or CMR, ca. 80 to 140mm Span is designed to clamp onto the body of a violin. A leather covering on all points of contact prevents damage to the instrument's surface finish.
By attaching near the edge of the violin where the motion of the wood is very slight, damping of the instrument is kept to a minimum.
