Vtg 1960's Aztec - Maya Warrior Ring Carved Turquoise Head Sterling Silver 925 Taxco Mexico Size 6
This stunning, one of a kind statement ring was purchased in 1973 in Mexico.
The headdress on this Inca warrior is done in a masterful, intricate pattern.
I would like to mention the repoussage work on the headdress, including the use of surmounted "dimpled dots," a silver-making technique favored by such Mexican masters as Hector Aguilar.
Weight: 16.3 grams.
All hand carved and handmade.
Stamped on the back of the crown: TAXCO MEXICO 925 There is more to the stamp but difficult for me to discern.
This ring is in excellent condition from our vast collection of vintage jewelry.
