The Port City Roosters were a minor league baseball team that played in Wilmington, North Carolina, for the 1995 and 1996 seasons before moving to Mobile, Alabama. The team was the Double-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners and was the first professional baseball team in Wilmington since 1950. Future Major League Baseball stars like Jason Varitek and Derek Lowe played for the team during its brief tenure.
