This is a beautiful, bright, shiny goldtone hand clip featuring an ornate, finely detailed gloved hand with a cuff, measuring 2 1/4" long (not including the top loop or cuff). The goldtone is bright and shows an excellent, well-preserved finish, though there are small scratch marks on the back from storage. The hand operates as a spring-loaded clip mechanism to securely grasp items. This style of hand clip was very popular during the Victorian and Edwardian eras and was commonly used as a glove clip or to hold handkerchiefs and notes on a chatelaine.
