What makes this piece rare is that the majority of these figurines developed
CRAZING over time.
This one has NO crazing.
Crazing refers to small hairline cracks in glazed surfaces that usually appear after firing but can appear years later. It is caused by a mismatch in the Thermal Expansions of glaze and body.
Most of the crazing on others can be seen on the Eyes, Pink Bow and both figurines tails and faces . . .
