Weller Baldin art pottery bud vase featuring a raised apple motif with a semi-matte glaze in earth tones. The body has a naturalistic branch texture that transitions from golden amber to green at the base, creating an organic look. The relief-molded apples and foliage are hand-decorated with realistic glazes in red, green, and brown tones.
Produced by the Weller Pottery Company, a prominent American art pottery manufacturer that operated from circa 1882-1948 in Zanesville, Ohio. The Baldin line, also known as the Baldwin Apple pattern, was introduced around 1915-1920 and reflects the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau movements popular at the time. The naturalistic design and blended earth-tone glazes showcase the artistic quality Weller was known for during this period.
