Original WWII U.S. Army canvas gaiters made by Gregory & Read Co, dated 7/25/42, size 5. Belonged to M.M. Lorenz, whose other issued garments were size Small. Heavy khaki canvas with brass eyelets, metal buckles, and adjustable straps. Clearly marked inside with manufacturer, contract NXSX 4807, date, and service name. Show visible wear from age and field use with dark reddish-brown stains, rust spotting near hardware, and general soiling throughout. Straps and hardware remain intact and functional.
