Handcrafted by the Benedictine monks of Saint Andrew's Abbey in Valyermo, California, as a means of supporting their community. This figure of Saint Patrick if inspired by European masterpieces and American Southwest art feature a distinct mid-century modernist style with large eyes and minimalist features. It is hand-painted with vivid, fire-glazed colors for durability and includes a loop for hanging. As can be seen in the images there is a very tiny chip at the bottom of the plaque. The plaque measures about 10 inches tall and about 5 inches wide at its widest point. The weight of the plaque is just over one pound.
