Step into a small, shining corner of history with this matching set of eleven authentic WWII-era U.S. military buttons, lovingly kept in my family for generations. These belonged to my great-grandfather, who served during World War II, and each one carries a quiet, well-traveled charm.
This set includes five large coat-size buttons and six smaller shirt-size buttons, all crafted from solid brass and beautifully stamped with the iconic Great Seal of the United States. Made by Scovill Mfg. Co. of Waterbury, one of the major military button manufacturers of the 1940s, these pieces have that unmistakable wartime construction: crisp detail, sturdy brass shanks, and the warm patina only decades of service and storage can bring.
The larger buttons are roughly the size of a quarter, with the smaller ones being closer to the size of a dime. Sizes vary, but the whole set fits perfectly together, like pages of the same story.
