Authentic vintage 48-star United States flag, dating to the WWI–WWII era (circa 1915–1940s). This is a silk parade / decorative flag, not a modern nylon reproduction.
Features applied sewn stars in the correct 6x8 configuration and machine-stitched stripes. Measures approximately 32 x 19 inches, which is a desirable larger size for silk flags of this period.
Condition is consistent with age and original silk construction. There is splitting and shattering of the silk, particularly in the lighter stripes, along with fraying at seams and edges. This is expected wear for antique silk flags and confirms authenticity. Colors remain strong, and the stars are well preserved.
This flag has not been cleaned, pressed, or altered in any way. Sold exactly as found.
