Massive prehistoric looking tourtoise shell. Totally amazing to see the shell of a prehistoric creature like this.
It is the largest freshwater turtle in the United States, known for its massive size and prehistoric appearance.
Key distinguishing features visible in the image include the prominent three ridges (keels) on the carapace.
It was found on the banks of the Ms river close to a boat landing. I suppose a coyote had got him but not sure.
