These Art Deco bookends featuring the Guiberson A-1020 Engine Fins design are a unique and collectible piece representing aviation, oilfied service company and military themes. Made of mixed materials including wood and metal alloy, these geometrically shaped bookends stand at 6.625 inches. From the early 20th century era these bookend are made of actual finned cylinder parts of the A-1020 4 stroke 9-cylinder engine developed during the early 1930s-1940s in Dallas, Texas by Guiberson an oilfield services company for diesel powered aircraft pre WWII then manufactured by Buda Company in Harvey, Illinois. These are perfect for collectors of aviation, army tanks, transportation, oilfield, mechanical engineering, and automotive. These are in good pre owned clean condition with some expected use or handling wear on the wood and metal, but well maintained in a wealthy, Frisco, Texas estate collection.
