Original U.S. Navy G-1 intermediate flying jacket, dated 1964, manufactured by Schott Bros., Inc. under military contract MIL-J-7823D (MS).
This is an authentic Vietnam-era leather flight jacket, not a reproduction. Features original mouton collar, vintage zipper, and period construction consistent with mid-1960s Navy issue G-1 jackets.
Jacket shows evidence of long-term service wear and historical customization, including interior "ghost stitching" from earlier patch placements and later aviation-themed patches added over time. Patches reflect multiple eras of aviation history and contribute to the jacket's character.
