Dimensions: 5 1/2” long — tail to snout; 4 1/2” tall; 2 1/2” wide. Weighs 6 ounces. Again, amazing condition for a 50 year old or so Mexican Hand Made Chia Pet from the early 1970’s, about 1970 or 1971.
The original “Chia Pet,” like this one was a piggy. This pet for sale was bought in Mexico before the Chia Pet craze became a TV advertised item in about 1977.
Became a craze in late 1970’s with television advertised jingle, “Chi, Chi, Chi, Chia!”
This was a boomers’ toy when boomers were kids.
