FLATHEAD DENIM JEANS - Flat Head Cotton Kevlar Denim Tight Straight Model! The fabric uses 13.5oz cotton-Kevlar denim woven on an old-style shuttle loom. The warp threads are No. 6 cotton yarn, repeatedly rope-dyed approximately 24 times, the same as the Flat Head's standard 3000 series fabric. The weft threads use a yarn with a Kevlar fiber core wrapped in cotton. Kevlar fiber is also used in materials like bulletproof vests and is said to be five times stronger than steel of the same weight. By weaving these warp and weft threads on an old-style shuttle loom, the denim achieves a vintage-like texture while boasting 8.5 times the tensile strength of regular denim. Features include a cowhide patch, iron buttons, copper rivets, iron hidden rivets, and a zipper fly. Core-spun thread, which combines the texture of cotton thread with the strength of spun yarn, is used for sewing. The silhouette is a straight fit with a slightly shallow rise and a tapered leg from the knee down. The pocket lining uses printed fabric made on a shuttle loom, replicating the heavy slub of the 1930s-40s.
