Manufacturer: Wood & Son (later Wood & Sons), based in Burslem, Staffordshire, England. They were a prolific and highly respected pottery firm.
Pattern Name: "Rustic." This pattern typically features delicate, transfer-printed floral vines with hand-painted (enameled) highlights in pinks and blues, which you can see clearly on the lid.
The Mark: The "Staffordshire Knot" (the rope design) combined with the crown was a standard trademark for the company during the late 19th century.

The Rd No 74855 is a UK Registered Design number. This specific number was registered in 1887.
The mark "England" is produced between 1891 and 1910.
The McKinley Tariff Act of 1890 required the country of origin to be added to imports to the US, leading many British potteries to add "England" to their stamps starting in 1891.
