★ About this car from painzshop.com:
The Esprit is a sports car formerly produced by the British car manufacturer Lotus Cars, and was called the "prototype of a supercar." Over 10,000 units were produced from 1976 to 2004, over a period of 28 years.
The styling, which used flat glass up to the front window, was announced by Italdesign in 1972. It is a masterpiece of Giugiaro design, and was announced at the 1975 Paris Salon as the successor to the Lotus Europa, and was praised as "the most exciting and attractive British sports car since the Jaguar E-Type."
This Esprit Turbo was officially announced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1980. Type number 82, project number M72. It was also exported and sold to the United States, and became very popular in Japan. It is also famous as a Bond car.
