Beautiful vintage Brazilian reverse painted glass folk art depicting a colorful parrot in a lush tropical scene. The artwork is signed “Santos” and retains its original gallery label on the reverse from Galeria Florida, located in Santos, São Paulo, Brazil.
This piece was produced by Joaquim Pereira, a Brazilian frame and glass maker, as indicated on the original label reading “Indústria Brasileira” (Brazilian Industry). Reverse painting on glass is a traditional decorative art form in Brazil, prized for its vibrant colors and luminous depth.
