Richard Dadd was a 19th-century British painter. At the age of 26, he suffered a mental breakdown and murdered his father. He was confined to a criminal mental asylum, where he continued to paint numerous works until his death at the age of 68. His masterpiece, "The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke," is currently on display at the Tate Gallery. The rock group Queen was inspired by this work and released the hit song "The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke."
