For your consideration is this vintage basket handbag / sewing box hand painted most likely during the 1970s. Hand painted on all four sides are groups of red topped mushrooms that give the piece quite a Cottagecore aesthetic. Each of the mushrooms have been personalized with names. With a little bit of mineral spirits and some red acrylic paint, these names could easily be covered up and tailored to your taste. It appears there was some decoupaged details removed from the top cover. The flip top lid is attached with brass-tone hinges. The inside is lined with vintage red and white stretch knit and has a little pocket. The bottom is felted. The handbag measures 10.25 inches long x 5.6 inches wide x 6.5 inches tall and has a handle drop of 4.4 inches. I have cleaned the inside lining with dry cleaning solution. What a fun and lovely handbag.
