VTG 1950s Westmoreland Glass SPLIT HANDLED BASKET Paneled Grape Milk Decorated

For your consideration is this vintage Split Handled Basket produced by Westmoreland Glass Company of Grapeville, Pennsylvania. This piece is part of the Paneled Grape Line, #1881. The line was produced from 1940 until 1984, but the hand decorated variant is believed to have been produced during the 1950s. The basket is oval shaped, has a split handle, is paneled and has a scalloped base. A lovely raised grape pattern can be seen on the paneled sides. The base is marked with the overlapping "WG" mark. Under a 395nm UV light, the piece glows yellow. It does not glow under 365nm UV light. The art glass piece measures 6.5 inches long x 4.25 inches wide x 3.6 inches high and weighs 1 pound 3.5 ounces. This beautiful milk glass basket is a lovely addition to any collection and also would be perfect used as a decorative soap dish.
Condition: Seller observed some rough and sharp spots on the base's edge, but no chips, cracks or major abrasions observed. Item has been steam cleaned prior to
