VTG Made In Soviet Union Russian Wooden Nesting Bowl Set Khokhloma Lacquered 3PC

For your consideration is this vintage wooden Russian Nesting Bowl set. All are stamped "Made in Soviet Union" dating them to being made between 1922 until 199. These are painted in the traditional Russian Khokloma style, known for its curved lienar features depicting vivid small flowers, berries, grasses and leaf motifs in typical color scheme of red and gold. This process invovles coating the wood with drying oil, applying powerdered aluminum or other metals, and painted with heat resistant oil paints, then varnished. The pieces are then put into a kiln. When the varnish is heated, it gives a yellow/gold tint to the works emulating a gold-like appearance. This set consists of three bowls. The largest measures 6.75 inches in diameter x 3.5 inches high. This piece does have some finish issues, almost as if during the Khokloma painting process, some had smudged.
