Offered for sale is an authentic early 1940s Japanese menko card depicting U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, produced by the Nagoya Gangu Company, a menko manufacturer active during Japan’s prewar and wartime Shōwa era.
The front features a colorful illustrated portrait of Abraham Lincoln, labeled in katakana, rendered in a bold graphic style characteristic of early Japanese menko artwork. The image remains visually striking and representative of the period.
The reverse contains vertically oriented Japanese text of trivia about Lincoln, and includes the Nagoya Gangu company logo. At the bottom is the printed menko fighting number “67158".
The card is approximately 3 inches tall by 1 & 3/8 inches wide. Overall, the card is in good condition, but please see photos for condition details.
