antique, vintage Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland 1882 edition

antique, vintage, valuable, and quite rare! Similar copies are listed in Ahearn's...Victorian Blue w/ raised gold gilded Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland 1882 edition.  Lewis Carroll was a pen name, and Alice was based on an actual person that the author was infatuated with.  It is an interesting backstory.  The binding has worn away a little to reveal beautiful red thread.  There is a fascinating stamp of some sort inside the beginning pages.  There is also a lovely inscription that reads, " Alice Porter or Potter Christmas 1883 from Aunt Maggie." The book has held up well, despite its age, but isn't in pristine condition because it is rather old. The pages are severely discolored.  A few front pages have come loose and has other signs of wear and tear.  It looks like a book that is old, but it is readable and a wonderful piece of historical literature.  Please see pics for condition, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me....A fine piece for any collec
