This antique 1898 hand-stitched crazy quilt features a unique design with velvet and silk patches, measuring 77" by 74". This is larger then most crazy quilts. I have it displayed on a King mattress.
It has a Black silk border around the outside with more patches around it.
There are a few silk patches that are frazzled just due to age of quilt. Please refer to pictures. I have taken close-ups of the frazzled silk. There are so many different and unique stitching. The backing is a pink cotton type of fabric. There is a patch with 1898 hand stitched on it.
This crazy quilt is 127 years old and is in great condition for its age. Its been well preserved and stored.
