* WHAT IT IS
Vintage hand-crafted Pueblo storyteller pottery figure depicting a seated storyteller holding two children. Rendered in traditional earth-tone pigments with classic Southwestern motifs, including painted garments and bowls. This piece is hand-formed and hand-painted, with a matte, sand-textured surface typical of Pueblo pottery traditions.
The underside is hand-signed (appears “J. Toya”), consistent with Pueblo family artist signatures. The form, palette, and construction are most closely associated with Jemez Pueblo storytelling figures from the late 20th century.
A warm, expressive piece that displays beautifully and represents authentic authentic Native American folk art
