This beautiful sterling silver band is a museum-quality replica of a 16th-century "posy ring" discovered during the excavation of the historic Rose Theatre in London.
Design & Inscription
The ring features a distinctive concave band with a romantic inscription in Old French and symbolic imagery:
Inscription: "PENCES POVR MOYE DV".
Translation: "Think of me, God willing".
"DV": Abbreviation for the Latin phrase Deo Volente ("God willing").
Material: Solid Sterling Silver.
Hallmarks: Stamped "925" for silver purity and "MGL," the maker's mark for the Shakespeare's Globe museum shop.
