Exceptional antique Edwardian hand-beaded evening bag dating to the early 20th century (circa 1910s). The exterior is meticulously hand-beaded in a deep charcoal / steel-black tone and framed with an ornate engraved brass kiss-lock with elegant scroll detailing.
The interior is lined in original antique silk taffeta with a crisp, structured hand, finished along the frame with delicate hand-stitched silk ribbon rosettes — a rare Edwardian detail reflecting fine craftsmanship of the era.
Finished with its original short chain handle, designed to be carried at the wrist or in hand. Fully wearable and highly collectible. Acquired from an estate sale in New Haven, Connecticut.
