Hand-carved European wooden cherub / putto figure depicting a winged child playing a stringed instrument. Solid hardwood with a substantial carved base. Expressive folk carving with visible tool marks and rich natural patina.
Measures approximately 12.75” tall with a 5.5” wide base. Heavy for size.
Condition: vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. There is a visible old repair thats been stabilized at the lower leg/ankle area and minor surface wear consistent with age, see all photos. The piece is solid and displays well.
