Hand-thrown studio pottery mug with rich red-brown drip glaze and rustic earth-tone base. Maker is unknown, but this piece came from Northeast Georgia and has the look and feel of regional studio pottery. Interior glaze shows light crazing typical of handmade ceramics. Magnum Studio in North Carolina does have some mugs like these. No cracks or chips noted.
This is a heavier, solid-feeling mug with great character and wheel-thrown base rings visible on the underside.
