Hermes Discobolus of Myron Statue: Greek Alabaster Decor

Hermes Alabaster Discobolus Statue, Made in Greece. A cream colored statue. Measures 12" in height by almost 8" total length from head to hand. Some marks (shown in photo). Very good condition.

This striking 12-inch tall statue is a handcrafted reproduction of the "Discobolus of Myron," one of the most iconic sculptures from the Classical period of ancient Greece. Made in Greece from cast alabaster, the figure captures a youthful athlete in a moment of intense athletic energy, just before the release of a discus throw. The cream-colored finish gives the piece an authentic, aged appearance that highlights the anatomical details and rhythmic movement originally mastered by the sculptor Myron in approximately 450 BC.

This item is vintage, over 20 years old. While it appears to be in very good condition, there is the possibility I may have missed a minor detail. If I missed a major flaw, I would reach out prior to sending it.
