The original ChromeOS does not work (support has already ended), but the latest ChromeOS Flex and various Linux distributions do. You can connect an external HDD and use it as a power-saving samba server. However, it might be a waste since it's more than twice as fast as the Celeron version. It's also recommended for use as an easy-to-use media player or a gaming machine for browser games, etc., by connecting it to your living room PC.
ChromeOS Flex installed. It boots quickly and can display 4K (3840x2160), so how about using it as a living room PC? I will update the firmware and OS to the latest versions, reset the settings, and then ship it.
