This rare in original condition can has graphics on side showing Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry and the U.S. Brig Niagara. On the side of the can it states “We have met the enemy and they are ours".
Can is in fair condition there is darkening of color, scratches, wear and oxidation due to its age. There are numbers painted in black on the bottom and a smudge of black paint on side. Can has no dents. Can does NOT come with LID.
Please examine photos closely for condition. This is a great historical collection piece of the battle of Lake Erie in the War of 1812.
