This object is a repurposed vintage glass insulator that has been converted into a pen holder or desk accessory. The original purpose of glass insulators was to prevent electrical current from escaping telegraph, telephone, and power lines by separating the wires from the wooden utility poles.
The glass portion is a vintage electrical or telephone line insulator, from manufacturer Hemingray. The Hemingray-42 was one of the most common styles produced between 1921 and 1960. Does not come with pen.
