Pulled from the back of an old kitchen cupboard, a rare set of matching four (4) Bennington Design Copperative handled mugs. From the Bennington Pottery founder David Gil era of the early 1950s, all four mugs are in pristine condition, showcased with a beautiful blue with black speckled matte glaze.

Excellent condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Stamped on the bottom with the Bennington Cooperative Design potter mark.

David Gil founded the pottery company Cooperative Design in 1948 in Bennington, Vermont, which would eventually be renamed Bennington Pottery of Vermont. From the beginning, the pottery was well regarded for its classic Mid-Century Modern design.
