Frontispiece plate plus a further 18 full page plates, 5 double plates, and 6 illustrations within the text. Previous owner's inscription dated 1890 to front endpaper. Cloth is slightly rubbed, spine ends has some age related wear, and board corners are bumped. Contents is clean and bright, just a bit of tanning to page edges, and the book is in overall good condition. 615pp, 22 x 15 cm.
