Rare 1970s Seiko Hi-Beat Ladies' Automatic - Caliber 2205-0259
Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Seiko ladies' mechanical watch from July 1972 (Serial #270419). This is a "Hi-Beat" model, meaning the movement operates at a high frequency (28,800 BPH) for superior accuracy and a smooth second-hand sweep. Unlike many vintage automatics, this high-spec 2205 caliber also allows for manual hand-winding.
Condition Details:
Movement: Running great and keeping time. Features a quick-set date function operated by a unique "pump" action on the crown.
Case & Crystal: The stainless steel case shows honest vintage wear. The Hardlex mineral crystal has some surface scratching consistent with age (see photos) but maintains good clarity.
Band: Fitted with a vintage Speidel expansion "Twist-O-Flex" band for a comfortable, adjustable fit.
Dial: Clean silver/white dial with polished baton indices and a date window at 3 o'clock.
