This is a SANYO Karaoke Mate, released around 1984, about 40 years ago.
It's amazing that it still works, a testament to Made in Japan quality.
*Defective, working condition (Please read to the end.)
*In the second image, the left side of the cassette insertion area appears to be broken or detached, making it difficult to close unless the cassette is inserted properly.
*If closed, it works without any problems. There is no noise.
Although there is some scratchiness in the volume control and tuning drift, I was able to play AM, FM, and cassettes. The exterior is also clean.
Fast forward, rewind, pause, stop buttons, and speed control all work without issue.
Volume and sound quality adjustments also function.
