Infantry Journal Press HC w/ DJ Rare

Hardcover copy of The Angels: A History of the 11th Airborne Division 1943–1946 by Major Edward M. Flanagan Jr., published by Infantry Journal Press for the U.S. Infantry Association. The book provides a detailed World War II unit history of the 11th Airborne Division, covering training, Leyte and Luzon campaigns, the Los Baños raid, and occupation of Japan, and was produced for division veterans rather than the general trade market, which makes surviving copies relatively scarce.

This copy includes the original dust jacket (separated but present) and tan cloth boards with the 11th Airborne “Angels” patch emblem on the front. There is period ink ownership information from a former serviceman on the front endpaper, along with age toning and scattered foxing to endpapers and page edges; text pages are complete and legible with a sound binding, though some spine and corner wear is present consistent with a well-kept vintage military book.
