This Berggren Dutch oven/pot with lid in a Swedish folk art design was purchased in Libertyville, Illinois in the 1960s, and it was made in the US (Berggren's Libertyville factory).
Its surface is vitreous enamel, and excellent quality, as shown by the excellent quality it's retained since the 1960s. It also looks like it was rarely used, if ever, possibly used as kitchen decor before it was safely stored for decades.
