This antique black-glazed teapot was produced by Lingard Webster & Co in Tunstall, Staffordshire, England, and dates to the late Victorian period, circa 1890–1910. The firm was known for decorated ornamental wares intended for both tea service and cabinet display during an era that favored dramatic contrast and surface embellishment.

Finished in a deep glossy black glaze, the teapot features hand-applied gold gilding, raised enamel beading, and floral ornamentation in jewel tones. The central medallion and scrolling motifs reflect Victorian aesthetic and exotic revival influences popular at the turn of the century. This piece was made in England for the domestic and export market, where decorative teapots were a staple of refined entertaining.

Dimensions: 9.5” W × 4.75” D × 6.5” H.

Condition: Antique condition with minor loss to gilding consistent with age and use. Occasional manufacturing glaze skips. No cracks observed; lid present. Please review photographs for surface wear.
