A striking large-scale Mid-Century Murano art glass bird sculpture by Fratelli Toso one of Murano's most respected glass masters.

This elegant crane / heron features a dramatic S-curve neck, deeply pulled ribbed body, applied cobalt blue beak and crest, and a millefiori cane eye—a hallmark of high-quality Murano studio work. The sculpture is exceptionally heavy and solid, standing an impressive 18 inches tall, making it a true statement piece rather than decorative export glass.

The hand-formed pedestal base shows deep sculptural folds with a central teal glass inclusion, fully polished and fire-finished—details consistent with 1950s–early 1960s Murano production.

Unsigned examples of this caliber are common from this period, particularly for export and gallery works.
