Mid-century figural glass rocking horse candy container. Unlike many later reproductions that feature plastic or cardboard bottoms, this piece retains its original tin metal base plate, which acted as the seal for the candy pellets originally sold inside.
Product Features:
●Exquisite Detail: The glass mold is crisp, featuring a textured "frosted" look to the horse's mane and tail, a star on the saddle, and Victorian-style scrollwork along the rockers.
●History: These were popular "penny candy" toys sold in five-and-dime stores. After the candy was eaten, the glass horse remained as a toy or nursery figurine.
