A tribute to the ultimate outlaws of the 50s, the bikers. The Levi's Vintage Clothing 1955 501 Jean has a unique "anti-fit" hip (a slightly looser cut in contrast to a slim and skinny style), slightly more room in the legs, and an overall boxy silhouette.

The fabric used in LEVI'S VINTAGE CLOTHING is made by Kaihara, a leading Japanese denim manufacturer.
It is a special fabric that realistically reproduces the rough texture of denim that was manufactured by Cone Mills at the time, using Japan's high technology.
In addition, this fabric has been given a realistic fading process as if it has been worn for many years.
Denim woven on an old-fashioned shuttle loom is about 27-29 inches wide, and is characterized by the edges sewn with red thread (red selvedge). Because the product is made using the fabric to the very end, the selvedge can be seen on the outer seams and the back of the watch pocket, creating the detail known as the red ear.
This denim retains the unevenness of the original cotton thread, making it attractive because it gains a unique texture as you wear it.

The top button has a reinforcing V-stitch, which is a characteristic of the 501 before the 60s.

The watch pocket has rivets, and the front pocket area has two-tone stitching. Copper rivets with the brand name are used.
The two-needle arcuate stitch is, of course, still present. The Big E red tab is embroidered on both sides.
From this era, the two-horse patch is made of paper.
Hidden rivets are used on the back pockets to prevent damage to furniture and tools by covering them with fabric.
