Thanks to triple plating, it’s not unusual for Monet pieces to be in amazing condition even after over 50 years of wear. This Monet chain has a real gold feel. Monet pioneering triple plating enhanced color and longevity. In the 1980’s, Monet jewelry pieces were focused on metalwork design. Vintage Monet is highly prized by collectors for its quality. After being bought by Liz Claiborne in 2000, quality/style changed, leading to vintage Monet becoming a collector's item. Monet is considered a high-quality costume jewelry.
