Vintage Set of 2 Reverse Painted Silhouette Pictures Painted on Convex Glass Victorian Courting Scenes 1940’s.
The scenes feature silhouettes of a man and woman in period attire, against a soft, pastel landscape background.
The images are painted on the inside of the bowed (convex) glass, a technique known as reverse painting.
The frames are made of pinched metal.
Height: 6”
Width: 4”
These pictures are in excellent vintage condition. The backs are in very nice condition. The glass has no cracks or chips. The metal frames are in good condition with no broken corners.
