Saks Fifth Avenue 1960s Vintage Made in Italy Handbag braided woven beauty

An original, vintage Saks Fifth Avenue brand handbag which we estimate is from the 1960s.
It states that it was made in Italy expressly for Saks.
It is a beautiful woven / braided type of material outside which is gorgeous and primarily black but also has a few lines of scarlet type of red.

It has a quality metal clasp and a leather top handle.

A previously owned but gently used item, beautiful and in good condition. It may have slight evidence of wear, which is consistent with normal use, such as rubbing or light scratches. We include multiple photographs from different angles to show condition.
NOTE: the inside has a tear to the lining, as shown, which can be common for bags of this age and cannot be seen from the outside. No tear to the outside, only the liner. And the leather handle is sturdy but does have wear and crack, as shown.
Still a beautiful handbag.
